As some of you may or may not already know, as of August 2013 I received a job at my local Forever 21. I was so overjoyed to have been able to get my foot in the door there, and it is beyond a perfect fit for me. It all fell into place, I asked for the application filled it out next thing I knew he said I could schedule you an interview tomorrow at 2pm. WHAT?! Yes! That day was my 18th birthday and I aced the interview. I mean, I could not have asked for a better gift. Five months in, and I’m employee of the month, I must be doing something right. I am almost positive that everyone at my high school knows how much I love fashion; and when my friends from school come in I get to be a mini Rachel Zoe and style them. Here are a few looks of what I have gotten to pick out for some of the young ladies at my school.

This summer I was able to be apart of Summer Studio at the Art Institution in Chicago. For all of you fashionistas out there I would recommend it, its a great way to network. Not only that but you also meet people that share the same love that you do. I met these girls that you see here, they had the best personalities and sense of style. The best part was that the outfits everyone wore to this event ranged from style to style, I loved it. So I thought I would share the photos I took of their outfits. Let me know what you think with a comment down below!

This season what we have on the runway are bright colors. So why not make a statement through your clothes! This summer make your look daring! Starting with bright color pants, another thing to try is color blocking with your top and bottoms. Connie looks flawless in these bright dark pink pants, and pairs it with natural colors on top. To keep her look classy she pairs it with black and gold studded heels and teal necklace. I would love to see your take on colored pants so me your outfits on Instagram #erikaalexisfashion and let me know what you think with a comment down below!

These girls know what is trending this season. It's that
time of year where the maxis’ come back out and better than ever. The maxi dress has transformed through many seasons like the high low, but this year we have been seeing the long maxi with the slip under with lace or sheer detailing. I personally love this trend! I think that it makes a huge statement without even trying that hard. You could pair it with color blocking heels if you want to make a bold statement or for a different look try you could do gladiator sandals with a floral head wrap.
